Peter Chambers
Peter Chambers was the primary pseudonym of British author Dennis John Andrew Phillips (1924-2006), who wrote over 60 mystery novels, including around 30 featuring the stylish New York private detective Peter Chambers. His works, often blending crime, suspense, and elements of soft noir, appeared from the 1940s through the 1970s, and he later served as a director of the Author's Licensing and Collecting Society. Chambers also used pseudonyms such as Simon Challis, Peter Chester, Philip Daniels, and Dennis Phillips.
