Pentatonix

Pentatonix (PTX) is an American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas, formed in 2011 by Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, and Mitch Grassi, later joined by Kevin Olusola and others, with Avi Kaplan as a former member and Matt Sallee as current bass. They won the third season of NBC's The Sing-Off, earning a recording contract and launching a career with viral YouTube covers, original music, and Grammy wins. Known for innovative pop-style arrangements featuring vocal harmonies, bass, and beatboxing, they have sold out shows worldwide.
