Peck and Snyder
Peck & Snyder was not an individual author but a pioneering American sporting goods company founded in 1866 by Andrew Peck and W. Irving Snyder in New York City, specializing in baseball equipment and one of the earliest distributors of baseball cards. The company produced catalogs like 'Peck & Snyder's Encyclopedia and Illustrated and Descriptive Price List of all Out-and-Indoor Games' and promotional trade cards featuring baseball teams. It was sold to A.G. Spalding and Bros. in 1894.
