Paulus Gerdes

Paulus Pierre Joseph Gerdes was a Dutch mathematician and university professor, widely recognized as a pioneer in ethnomathematics research, especially in Africa. He also worked extensively in Mozambique, including as professor and rector at the Pedagogical University of Mozambique, and contributed to the history of mathematics in Africa.
