Paula Morris

Paula Morris MNZM is a New Zealand novelist, short-story writer, essayist, and literary academic of Ngāti Wai, Ngāti Manuhiri, and Ngāti Whatua descent. She is an associate professor at the University of Auckland and founder of the Academy of New Zealand Literature and Wharerangi, the Māori literature hub. Morris holds degrees from universities in New Zealand, the UK, and the US, including a D.Phil from the University of York and an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop.
