Paula Bombara

Paula Bombara is an Argentine writer, biochemist, and scientific communicator known for her children's and young adult literature, including acclaimed novels like El mar y la serpiente and La chica pájaro. Born in Bahía Blanca, she moved to Buenos Aires at age three due to her parents' political persecution during the military dictatorship, graduated as a biochemist from the University of Buenos Aires in 1996, and transitioned to full-time writing and editing in 2004. She created and directs the scientific communication series ¿Querés saber? and is pursuing a PhD in linguistics at UBA.
