Paul Volponi

Paul Volponi is a New York City-based writer, teacher, and journalist known for award-winning young adult novels such as Black and White, Rikers High, and Rooftop. He taught incarcerated teens on Rikers Island and later teens in drug treatment programs, experiences that strongly influenced his fiction, and he also covers Thoroughbred racing for The Blood-Horse.
