Paul Holes is an American former cold-case investigator, New York Times bestselling author, and podcaster best known for helping identify the Golden State Killer using DNA and genealogy techniques. After more than 27 years in law enforcement, he retired in 2018 and has since written and spoken widely about true crime and cold-case investigations.[1][2][4]
