Paul Hellweg

Paul Hellweg is a Vietnam War veteran who served with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment at Xuan Loc in 1968 and is a member of Veterans for Peace and Vietnam Veterans Against the War, devoting his life to speaking out against war. He is a prolific author of eleven nonfiction books, nearly 100 magazine articles, and poetry collections such as 'When Eagles Vie with Valkyries,' which recounts his unconventional life story in verse. He founded Vietnam War Poetry to foster understanding of the war's impact and has published several hundred works including essays, reviews, and short stories.
