Paul Hardy

Paul Hardy (baptised David Paul Frederick Hardy) was an English illustrator born on 2 August 1862 near Bath, Somerset, best known for his regular illustrations in The Strand Magazine and his painting Canterbury Pilgrims (1903)[1]. He created numerous drawings for the serials of writer Samuel Walkey and was recognized as a prolific illustrator of adventure stories, particularly when depicting figures in action[1][6]. Hardy died on 2 January 1942[1].
