Paul Anderson

Poul William Anderson was a prolific American science fiction and fantasy author, known for his scrupulous attention to scientific detail and works like 'Tau Zero' and 'The Boat of a Million Years.' Born in Pennsylvania with Scandinavian heritage, he studied physics at the University of Minnesota, publishing his first story in 1947 and becoming a full-time writer after graduating in 1948. He won seven Hugo Awards, three Nebula Awards, and was named a Grand Master by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America in 1997.
