Patrick George is a British illustrator and author based in Ramsgate, UK, who graduated from Falmouth School of Art and transitioned from graphic design and wildlife illustration in the late 1980s and early 1990s to specializing in concept-driven, witty children's books.[1][5][2] He self-publishes award-winning children's books translated into 17 languages, nominated twice for the Kate Greenaway Medal, and has worked with publishers like HarperCollins and Scholastic.[1][7]
