Patrick McMurray
Patrick McMurray, also known as Shucker Paddy, is a Toronto-based author, culinary educator, and World Champion Oyster Shucker who holds Guinness World Records for oyster shucking. He is the author of 'Consider the Oyster — A Shucker’s Field Guide' and 'The Oyster Companion,' books that treat oysters with the expertise of a sommelier discussing wine. McMurray has owned Irish pubs and restaurants in Toronto for over 15 years and is recognized as the only Canadian to win the world champion oyster shucking contest in over 60 years.
