Patrick McDonnell
Patrick McDonnell is a cartoonist, author, playwright, and animal activist best known as the creator of the award-winning daily comic strip Mutts, syndicated since 1994 in over 700 newspapers worldwide.[2][3][5] He has authored several New York Times bestselling children's books, including the Caldecott Honor-winning Me...Jane, a biography of Jane Goodall, and The Gift of Nothing.[1][3][4] A passionate advocate for animal welfare, he has served on the board of the Humane Society of the United States and resides in New Jersey with his wife and pets.[3][4]
