Patrick Lekota
Mosiuoa Gerard Patrick 'Terror' Lekota was a prominent South African anti-apartheid activist, imprisoned on Robben Island from 1974 to 1982 for his role in the South African Students' Organisation (SASO). After his release, he became involved in the African National Congress (ANC), serving as Premier of the Free State (1994-1996), Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces (1997-1999), and Minister of Defence (1999-2008), later co-founding the Congress of the People (COPE) in 2008.
