Patrick F McManus

Patrick F. McManus (1933-2018) was an American humorist, educator, and author renowned for his witty stories about outdoor adventures and childhood misadventures. Born in Sandpoint, Idaho, he worked as a columnist for Outdoor Life and Field & Stream, with his essays collected in best-selling books starting with A Fine and Pleasant Misery (1978). He taught English and journalism at Eastern Washington University after earning degrees from Washington State University.[1][2][3]
