Patrick Carman is an American author of over 40 books for young adults and children, best known for New York Times bestselling series like The Land of Elyon, Atherton, Skeleton Creek, and Floors.[1][2][3] Born and raised in Salem, Oregon, he graduated from Willamette University with a degree in business/managerial economics and previously worked in advertising, game design, and technology in Portland.[1][2][3] His books have been translated into over 20 languages, with more than five million copies in print, and he is a frequent speaker at national events.[1][3][5]
