Patricia Waugh

Patricia Waugh is a British literary critic and intellectual historian, and Professor of English Literature at Durham University. She is best known for her influential work on metafiction, modernism, postmodernism, feminist theory, and literary criticism, beginning with *Metafiction: The Theory and Practice of Self-Conscious Fiction* (1984).
