Patricia MacDonald
Patricia J. MacDonald is an American mystery and suspense novelist known for her psychological thrillers set in small towns, often exploring unraveling family lives. Born in 1949 in Greenwich, Connecticut, she graduated from Upsala College in 1970 and earned an M.S. in Journalism from Boston University in 1974, later working as an editor for soap opera magazines before publishing her debut novel The Unforgiven in 1980, which earned an Edgar Award nomination. She lives in Cape May, New Jersey with her husband Art Bourgeau and daughter Sera.
