Patricia Curtis Pfitsch

Patricia Curtis Pfitsch is an American children's author born in St. Louis, Missouri, who specializes in historical fiction featuring strong female characters dealing with loss and adversity. She holds a B.A. from Knox College (1970) and an M.A. from the University of Georgia (1974), and has worked as a freelance writer, instructor, and librarian. Her award-winning novels include Keeper of the Light (1997) and Riding the Flume (2002), and she currently lives in southwest Wisconsin.
