Patricia A. Potter RN MSN PhD FAAN
Patricia A. Potter, RN, MSN, PhD, FAAN, is a renowned nursing educator and author who served as the former Director of Research & Patient Care Services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, retiring in 2017 after over 45 years of nursing experience.[1][2] She is the co-author of the leading textbook *Fundamentals of Nursing*, now in its 10th edition, along with other works like *Nursing Interventions and Clinical Skills* and *Essentials for Nursing Practice*, and has 29 peer-reviewed publications.[2] Her accolades include the 2017 Legend in Nursing award, 2016 Nurse of the Year – Research from Missouri March of Dimes, 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award from Saint Louis University School of Nursing, and induction as a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing in 2003; she also founded the 'Nurses for Ferguson' scholarship.[1]
