Pat Lowery Collins

Pat Lowery Collins was a poet, painter, and author of many acclaimed books for children and young adults, including the Reading Rainbow selection I Am An Artist. Born Patricia Ann Lowery in Los Angeles, California, on October 6, 1932, she lived and worked in Rockport, Massachusetts, where she wrote the blog 'Aging and the Creative Process' and was working on a memoir. She taught at the Worcester Art Museum and had her artwork in permanent collections in the U.S. and Japan.[1][2][3][5]
