Paola Opal

Paola Opal is a Dutch-born Canadian artist, illustrator, and children's book author best known for creating the Simply Small picture book series under her pen name.[1][2] She holds a diploma in visual design and has been producing these board books since 2008, featuring baby animals facing everyday challenges.[2][4] Her work includes titles like Cheera, a story about a baby cheetah learning to settle for a nap, and she has received the Alcuin Society Award.[3][5]
