Pam Baragwanath
Pam Baragwanath is an Australian historian and author who has devoted many years to researching mechanics' institutes in Victoria and Australia. She is best known for authoring 'If the Walls Could Speak: A Social History of the Mechanics Institutes' of Victoria' and co-authoring 'Ubiquitous and necessary: Australia's mechanics' institutes and schools of arts' with Ken James. She has been a founding committee member of various historical organizations and frequently speaks on the subject of mechanics' institutes.
