Pablo Ortiz Monasterio

Pablo Ignacio Ortiz Monasterio Prieto is a renowned Mexican photographer, writer, and editor born in Mexico City in 1952, internationally recognized as one of the most representative artists of Mexican contemporary photography[3]. After graduating as an economist from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, he studied photography in London in the 1970s and has documented Mexican life for over 40 years through photojournalism and experimental digital projects[1][2]. He is a co-founder of the Consejo Mexicano de la Fotografía and the Centro de la Imagen, and served as director of photography collections for the magazine Luna Córnea[1][6].
