Dr. P. Kaliraj is a distinguished Indian biotechnologist born on January 5, 1953, in Kanniseri Pudhur, Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. He earned his Ph.D. from Nagpur University in 1981 and held key positions at Anna University, including Professor and Director of the Centre for Biotechnology, before being appointed Vice-Chancellor of Bharathiar University in 2019. His research focuses on molecular immunotechnology, recombinant technology, and parasite vaccine technology, earning him awards like the BRSI Industrial Medal and fellowships from international societies.[1][2][4]
