Ouseley

Sir Frederick Arthur Gore Ouseley, 2nd Baronet (1825–1889) was an English composer, organist, musicologist, and priest, renowned as a child prodigy who composed an opera at age eight and played duets with Mendelssohn.[1][6] He served as precentor of Hereford Cathedral and Heather Professor of Music at Oxford University, authoring influential treatises on harmony, counterpoint, and musical form.[4][6] Ouseley amassed the significant Tenbury Collection of music manuscripts.[6]
