Otto Holzapfel

Otto Holzapfel is a German folklorist and philologically oriented researcher of traditional German folk songs, born on February 5, 1941, in Beeskow, Germany. He is a retired adjunct professor at the University of Freiburg and has supervised the German song index (Liedverzeichnis) since 2006. His mother tongue is Danish, reflecting his background in Scandinavian studies.
