Ocean Vuong
Ocean Vuong is a Vietnamese American poet, essayist, and novelist born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, who immigrated to the United States at age two. His debut novel, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous (2019), achieved critical acclaim and commercial success, selling over a million copies in 41 languages, while his poetry collection Night Sky with Exit Wounds (2016) won the T.S. Eliot Prize. His work explores themes of war, trauma, queerness, and immigrant experience, drawing from Vietnamese oral storytelling traditions.
