Norris McHwirte

Norris Dewar McWhirter (1925-2004) was a British journalist, publisher, and author best known as the co-founder of the Guinness Book of Records alongside his twin brother Ross, which they created in 1955 and became the world's best-selling copyrighted book.[1][2][4] After Ross's assassination by the IRA in 1975, Norris continued managing Guinness Superlatives until 1975 and worked on other publications like Athletics World and The Guinness Book of Answers.[1][3] He also presented on BBC television and served in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve during World War II.[1][3]
