Norbert Krapf
Norbert Krapf is an American poet, memoirist, and emeritus professor of English at Long Island University, born in 1943 in Jasper, Indiana, a German community. His work has received national attention and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize; he served as Indiana Poet Laureate beginning in 2008. He is known for exploring family history, German heritage, and personal memoir, and has collaborated with musicians, photographers, and artists while also translating German literature.
