Ninette 1898- de Valois
Dame Ninette de Valois (born Edris Stannus) was an Irish-born British ballet dancer, choreographer, and director who founded The Royal Ballet, one of the foremost ballet companies of the 20th century. She danced professionally with Serge Diaghilev's Ballets Russes before establishing the Sadler's Wells Ballet in 1931, which later became the Royal Ballet. She was instrumental in creating classical British ballet and is widely considered one of the most influential figures in ballet history.
