Nigel Nicholson
Nigel Nicolson (1917–2004) was an English writer, publisher, and politician, best known for his biography 'Portrait of a Marriage' about his parents, Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson, which candidly explored their open marriage and same-sex affairs. He co-founded the publishing house Weidenfeld & Nicolson and served as a Member of Parliament, while also authoring award-winning biographies like 'Mary Curzon' and works on Virginia Woolf, Jane Austen, and his own memoirs 'Long Life.' Educated at Eton and Oxford, he fought in World War II with the Grenadier Guards and wrote extensively on history, literature, and politics.
