Nigel Barley

Nigel Frederick Barley (born 1947) is a British anthropologist and author known for his travel writing based on his anthropological field work, particularly his experiences with the Dowayo people in Cameroon. He studied at Cambridge and Oxford, lectured at the University of London, and worked at the British Museum before becoming a full-time writer and broadcaster, dividing his time between England and Indonesia.
