Nicole Dennis-Benn
Nicole Dennis-Benn is a Jamaican novelist born around 1982 in Kingston, Jamaica, who moved to New York City after high school graduation. She is an award-winning author known for her debut novel 'Here Comes the Sun' (2016), which won the Lambda Literary Award and was named Best Book of the Year by The New York Times, and her bestselling novel 'Patsy' (2019). An out lesbian and feminist writer, she explores themes of gender, sexuality, and Jamaican diaspora, centering working-class Jamaicans in her literary works.
