Nicolaos Yalouris

Nicolaos Yalouris was a prominent Greek archaeologist and author specializing in ancient art and the history of sport. He edited and contributed to influential works such as 'The Eternal Olympics: The Art and History of Sport' (1979) and 'Pegasus: The Art of the Legend' (1975). Yalouris earned his D.Phil. from the University of Basel in 1949 and was a full member of the German and Austrian Archaeological Institutes.
