Nicola Griffith
Nicola Griffith, born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, on 30 September 1960, is a dual UK/US citizen and acclaimed author of novels including Hild, Spear, Ammonite, and Slow River.[1][2][3] She has received numerous awards such as the Nebula, World Fantasy, Tiptree, and the 2024 Damon Knight Grand Master from SFWA, and is known for her work on literary bias, #CripLit, and queering Early Medieval history.[1][2] A PhD holder from Anglia Ruskin University, she lives in Seattle, is married to Kelley Eskridge, and is a wheelchair boxer.[2]
