Nick Furlong
Nicholas 'Nicky' Furlong was an Irish historian, author, playwright, lecturer, and journalist born in 1929 on his family's farm in Drinagh, Wexford. He began his writing career as a freelance journalist in the late 1950s, authoring 19 books including works on local history such as Fr. John Murphy Of Boolavogue, and drawing inspiration from characters he met at his father's pub. Furlong passed away at age 93 in 2022 after a distinguished career.[1][3]
