Nicholas G Carr

Nicholas G. Carr (born 1959) is an American writer and journalist specializing in technology, business, and culture. He gained prominence with his 2003 Harvard Business Review article 'IT Doesn't Matter' and books like the Pulitzer finalist The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains (2010), along with recent works such as Superbloom (2025). A former executive editor of the Harvard Business Review, he holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Harvard University, and maintains the blog Rough Type and Substack New Cartographies.[1][3][7]
