Neil deGrasse Tyson

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist, author, and science communicator born in New York City, where he developed a passion for astronomy in childhood and became the youngest director of the Hayden Planetarium in 1996.[1][2][3] He earned a BA in Physics from Harvard University and a PhD in Astrophysics from Columbia University, and has popularized science through books like *Astrophysics for People in a Hurry* and TV series such as *Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey*.[3][7] As director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History, he continues to advocate for space exploration and scientific literacy.[4][6]
