Natascha Scott-Stokes

Natascha Scott-Stokes is a pioneering travel writer and adventurer who became the first woman to travel the length of the Amazon River alone in 1989, documenting her journey in the acclaimed book *An Amazon and a Donkey*. She has authored several travel books including *The Amber Trail*, works on Guatemala and Chile such as *Tales from the Sharp End*, and a biography of butterfly collector Margaret Fountaine. Holding a Masters in Latin American History and Archaeology from London University, she emigrated from England to Chile in 2006, continuing to write about Latin America.[1][2][3][5][6][7]
