Nandini Nayar

Nandini Nayar is an Indian author of over 75 books for children, including more than 30 picture books and works for middle-grade readers, with her first book *Pranav’s Picture* published in 2005 by Tulika.[1][6] Born in Jabalpur to Maharashtrian parents, she grew up in Chennai and studied in Mysuru and Hyderabad, and is a qualified teacher who has worked on English textbooks for schools and universities in India.[3][4] She writes both fiction and nonfiction, establishing herself as a respected figure in Indian children's literature.[2]
