Nancy Been Peacock

Nancy Peacock is an American author known for her novels *Life Without Water*, *Home Across the Road*, and *The Life and Times of Persimmon Wilson*, as well as the memoir *A Broom of One's Own: Words on Writing, Housecleaning, and Life*. She graduated from Sweet Briar College with a BA in applied classical music and from Vanderbilt University with an MA in history, and grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in the 1950s, Peacock is also involved in music publishing through Washington Street Publishing.
