Nancy Armstrong

Nancy Bowes Armstrong is a scholar, critic, and Professor of English at Duke University, where she holds the Gilbert, Louis & Edward Lehrman Professorship. She is best known for her groundbreaking 1987 book Desire and Domestic Fiction, which explores the relationship between subjectivity and the novel[1]. She also co-authored The Imaginary Puritan[2].
