Muriel Clara Bradbrook

Muriel Clara Bradbrook (1909–1993), known as M.C. Bradbrook, was a distinguished British literary scholar and the first Professor of English at Cambridge University, renowned for her extensive scholarly work on Shakespeare, John Webster, and T.S. Eliot. She served as Mistress of Girton College, Cambridge, and authored seventeen books that significantly contributed to the study of Elizabethan and Renaissance literature.
