Mr. Samuel G Farrar

Deacon Samuel Farrar (1708-1783) was a prominent figure in colonial Lincoln, Massachusetts, serving as Selectman, Town Clerk, and Representative, and playing a key role in the lead-up to the American Revolution as Chairman of the first Committee of Correspondence in 1773 and a member of the Provincial Congress.[1] At age 66, he fought in the first battle of the Revolution at Concord on April 19, 1775.[1] He died shortly after the war's end, having witnessed American independence.[1]
