Morey Bernstein

Morey Bernstein (1919–1999) was an American businessman and amateur hypnotist from Colorado who became famous for his 1956 book 'The Search for Bridey Murphy,' which popularized the concept of past-life regression through his documentation of Virginia Tighe's claimed memories of a 19th-century Irishwoman. His work sparked intense debate in scientific and religious communities about reincarnation and cryptomnesia, cementing his legacy as a pivotal figure in the exploration of the human psyche. Bernstein died in 1999 at age 79 due to cardiac arrhythmia.
