Monica Patridge

Monica Partridge was a pioneering academic who studied French at the University of Nottingham and later Russian in London in 1940, becoming the first woman professor at the university in 1967 in Slavonic studies. A building on the University of Nottingham campus was renamed the Monica Partridge Building in her honor following a 2020 poll. She was renowned for her expertise in Slavonic studies.
