Moikom Zeqo

Moikom Zeqo (1949–2020) was an Albanian poet, writer, archaeologist, and public intellectual, renowned for his prolific output of over 60 books including poetry, archaeological studies, and cultural works, considered a pioneer of postmodernism in Albanian literature. Born in Durrës and educated at the University of Tirana, he worked as a journalist, teacher, researcher, Minister of Culture in 1991, and director of the National Historical Museum. His works were translated into multiple languages, and he received Albania's highest civilian honor, the Order of Skanderbeg, in 2019.
