Mobil
Michel Butor was a French writer and key figure in the nouveau roman movement, best known for his experimental novel Mobile (1962), inspired by his travels across the United States. The work abandons traditional narrative for a collage of lists, facts, and observations about American geography, history, and culture, organized by state. Considered his greatest book by many, it exemplifies his innovative approach to literature.
